My Perfect Future

My perfect future would look like being the owner of a bakery or restaurant. I really love cooking and baking and could never decide between the two of them. But if I got the chance to be either of those I would love it. ❤️ I like to cook and bake mostly for the fun of it and also because I love cooking for my family. 💁 I’ve been helping my mom cook and bake since I was 7 and ever since I’ve loved it! I plan on going to college after highschool to go into culinary classes to learn way more about cooking/baking than I know now. I know getting a restaurant or bakery can be hard but I hope that I never give up on my dream. I hope that when I’m older I achieve my dream. 😇

My One Word For 2018

The word I chose was Challenge. I chose this word because this year I want to challenge myself to be a new and better person. The word challenge to me means to try new things even when they might be hard and to motivate myself to do better. I want to challenge myself to not fight with my siblings since that is something I do a lot. I want to challenge myself to get even better grades than what I have now for quarter 2. I want to challenge myself to eat better and be more healthy. I want to challenge myself to be a good person now so I’ll be a better person in the future as well. I think this challenge really fits my personality and I think I’ll be able to accomplish all these goals.

Quote That Describes Me

I think that this quote is a funny, but true quote. It’s basically saying that while your still young, to live life to the fullest. 😇 This is the type of quote that’ll make you laugh but then realize it’s true.

Book blog #3 - Liar & Spy

I just recently finished my 3rd book which was called Liar & Spy. It was written by Rebecca Stead and it is a New York Times bestseller! The book was about a boy named Georges ( the s is silent ) who moves into an apartment in Brooklyn. He meets another boy that is named Safer (who is a “spy”) that loves to always be on the lookout for clues. Georges’s dad lost his job and his mother works long shifts at the hospital. George’s begins to get bullied at school by a boy named Dallas that mostly just makes fun of his name. Georges starts to hang out a lot with Safer and even says he’ll be Safers spy recruit. They both start investigating this mysterious man known as “Mr. X” who lives in the apartment upstairs. Safer begins to get really demanding and Georges starts to think if he is really his friend or if he just wants everything to be about them spying on “Mr. X”. 🔍 Overall this book I would give an 8/10. 💁

My Photo Album 💟

Something that is important to me is my photo album. This album is full of pictures with people in my family in it. I chose this photo album because it has a lot of funny and heart - warming memories. 💗 The photo album makes me happy and it makes me laugh because of all the embarrassing photos of me and my family. Everyone from my moms side is in the book and some of my dads side. I’ve had this photo album for 5 years. I remember when I was little me and my sister would love putting new pictures in it. I hope I can get more memories in my photo album as I get older. :)

Book blog #2 - The Hidden Summer

The novel I read was called “The Hidden Summer” written by Gin Phillips. This novel is about two 13 year - old girls named Nell and Lydia, (the main characters) and how both their moms were mad at each other. This led to their mothers not wanting them to hang out with each other anymore. They had been for friends for many years and they were both scared of losing each other. A solution for that was they decided to spend basically their whole summer hiding in an abandoned golf course. Obviously they didn’t want their parents to catch them so they hid during specific hours where they lied about having camp when really they were just hiding to spend time with each other. In the end they both moms forgave each other and everyone was happy. This book overall I would rate an 8/10.

Book blog : The Great Wall Of Lucy Wu

I read  “The Great Wall Of Lucy Wu” by Wendy Wan - long Shang. The book was about a girl named Lucy Wu which she loved to play basketball. She was thinking about being the 6th grade captain for the basketball team but had many obstacles along the way like Sloane. Sloane also wanted to be captain for the basketball team but didn’t even play basketball. She was very rude to Lucy which was one of the problems for being captain. She also had an older sister and brother. Her sister “Regina” was the oldest and they didn’t get along very well. They had lots of fights but she eventually went to college. She also had an older brother named Kevin. Since he was really smart and good at math he had no problems and Lucy and him rarely got into fights. Another problem was her parents wanted her to go to Chinese school. She was Chinese but wasn’t the best at speaking it. In fact she preferred American food over Chinese food  but yet the rest of her family preferred Chinese food,so she was different from the rest of her family. Not only was Chinese school a problem but she thought she was gonna have her own room when Regina left but her plans were ruined when she found out that she had to share her room with her grandmother”Yi Po” that was coming over for a while. Yi Po was very nice and caring. Lucy really didn’t like that fact that she had to share a room with her grandmother cause she thought it would be awkward but she ended up loving Yi Po and got to be captain of the 6th grade basketball team! My favorite character was Yi Po because she was a nice grandmother to Lucy and always comforted her when she needed it. Overall I would rate this book a 9/10 👌🏽
