Recently I read the book “The Running Dream” written by Wendelin Van Draaen. The genre of the book is fiction! This book is about an 18 year old girl named Jessica who loses her leg in a tragic car accident. This story takes place mostly in school and Jessica’s house. She has a very supportive friend named Fiona. Jessica doesn’t like the fact that she’ll have to walk with a prosthetic leg because she thinks she’ll shell be stared at (in a bad way). Though the biggest reason is because she is a runner. She competes in races and has being for many years. She goes through rough stages in the book because she feels like she’ll never get her leg back again. Meanwhile she gets put in a wheel chair and makes another friend named Rosa, a sweet and nice girl with cerebral palsy that Jessica’s never really noticed, which is my favorite part. It’s my favorite part because she makes friends with a girl who never really talks in class and who seems shy but in the end she s really funny and talks a lot. Also because she was really helpful when Jessica was going through hard times. Finally, Jessica’s track team plan to raise money for Jessica to get a new leg. This leg though costs $20,000! Do you think her team will be able to raise that much money for her new leg? Read the book to find out!

Gracefully Grayson by Ami Polonsky (book blog)
I recently read the book Gracefully Grayson by Ami Polonsky and I would really recommend it! This book is about a boy named Grayson Sender whos been keeping a secret from his family and friends for what seems like the longest time. Except he doesn’t think as himself as a boy. He wants to be a girl but is afraid to show it because he thinks people will call him “gay” and “bully him”. He made a friend named Amelia who doesn’t know his secret. Grayson’s doesn’t have parents anymore so he has to live with his aunt and uncle. His aunt and uncle are very supportive of him and he knows it. One day he decides to try out for the lead role in a play that’s happening at school. This was my favorite part because he was very confident for doing that even if people thought he was weird. The only thing is the role he tried out for was a girl. To find out if he got the role or not... read the book to find out!

My Perfect Future
My perfect future would look like being the owner of a bakery or restaurant. I really love cooking and baking and could never decide between the two of them. But if I got the chance to be either of those I would love it. ❤️ I like to cook and bake mostly for the fun of it and also because I love cooking for my family. 💁 I’ve been helping my mom cook and bake since I was 7 and ever since I’ve loved it! I plan on going to college after highschool to go into culinary classes to learn way more about cooking/baking than I know now. I know getting a restaurant or bakery can be hard but I hope that I never give up on my dream. I hope that when I’m older I achieve my dream. 😇

My One Word For 2018
The word I chose was Challenge. I chose this word because this year I want to challenge myself to be a new and better person. The word challenge to me means to try new things even when they might be hard and to motivate myself to do better. I want to challenge myself to not fight with my siblings since that is something I do a lot. I want to challenge myself to get even better grades than what I have now for quarter 2. I want to challenge myself to eat better and be more healthy. I want to challenge myself to be a good person now so I’ll be a better person in the future as well. I think this challenge really fits my personality and I think I’ll be able to accomplish all these goals.

Quote That Describes Me
I think that this quote is a funny, but true quote. It’s basically saying that while your still young, to live life to the fullest. 😇 This is the type of quote that’ll make you laugh but then realize it’s true.

Book blog #3 - Liar & Spy
I just recently finished my 3rd book which was called Liar & Spy. It was written by Rebecca Stead and it is a New York Times bestseller! The book was about a boy named Georges ( the s is silent ) who moves into an apartment in Brooklyn. He meets another boy that is named Safer (who is a “spy”) that loves to always be on the lookout for clues. Georges’s dad lost his job and his mother works long shifts at the hospital. George’s begins to get bullied at school by a boy named Dallas that mostly just makes fun of his name. Georges starts to hang out a lot with Safer and even says he’ll be Safers spy recruit. They both start investigating this mysterious man known as “Mr. X” who lives in the apartment upstairs. Safer begins to get really demanding and Georges starts to think if he is really his friend or if he just wants everything to be about them spying on “Mr. X”. 🔍 Overall this book I would give an 8/10. 💁

My Photo Album 💟
Something that is important to me is my photo album. This album is full of pictures with people in my family in it. I chose this photo album because it has a lot of funny and heart - warming memories. 💗 The photo album makes me happy and it makes me laugh because of all the embarrassing photos of me and my family. Everyone from my moms side is in the book and some of my dads side. I’ve had this photo album for 5 years. I remember when I was little me and my sister would love putting new pictures in it. I hope I can get more memories in my photo album as I get older. :)
